This is a big rumour going round. I have said many times on here that Electronic Arts are a prime takeover target and as a company they have had a long period of badly underperforming, so their stock is cheap. Apple, on the other hand, have been making money like crazy as they reap the rewards from being successfully marketing driven. They might like to have control over a massive content producer, just like Sony got into movies in a big way to provide support for their hardware standards. And we have seen how well this has worked out for Sony.
