I was surprised that MTV passed up such a big opportunity to elevate their Rock Band brand, but there's no way Apple Corps would've let The Beatles be just another track pack or downloadable album. They're a Super-Brand, and need to be treated as such.

Insightful. Thanks for the context. Everything else I've read focussed on the title NOT being RockBand Beatles. I wonder if AC DC regret being a track pack now. Always interesting to hear the business of gaming view. Keep up the great posts. Thanks

Only natural something like this should occur. They probably saw how many +40yr old men were playing with their teenage kids rock-guitar controller on the current batch of consoles and put two and two together and made dollar signs. Curious how well it will go down though. Will the current crop of gamers be into it? And will Mr. Mid-Life-Crisis be targeted well enough via marketing for it to be a success? Gonna be a good one.
