Good work. Tragically, even a lot of the *games developers* living and working in Leam don't realise how many games studios are there.

Which, really, helps the poorer studios to retain staff, and makes it harder for the better ones to attract new staff. So, I can see an argument for some studios keeping quiet about it as a place to work (assuming they think they'll lose more staff to better places than they'll gain by grabbing a percent of the increaed number of incoming people), but that seems a particularly bad ("aiming to fail") reason :).

So, hopefully, you can get more attention from the local companies and get them to take some more steps to improve this stuff. Another good place to go would be the IGDA - http://igda.org - and see if you can change the local IGDA chapter from a "meets practically never, doesn't do much" into a more constructive and effective chapter. Places with good IGDA chapters tend to benefit hugely - lots of free recruitment boosts for the local companies.

The problem with Leamington Spa is that it's such a nice place. I just moved there from the hell-hole that is Middlesbrough ...but because Middlesbrough is such a dump it is regenerating the area ...and that includes making a fuss over digital businesses that bring in money and attention.
