SONY is waiting for PS3 game attachement rates to go up to X level (since X360's BC is so poor X360 owners, amazingly, purchase X360 games) and then I would suspect that software BC will come. In the meantime they are selling PS1 games that are sharable with up to 5 PS3 users AND 5 PSP owners for the price of 1 download.
